Stupid short row heels. I’m about to abandon Attempt #2, rip back, and try for Attempt #3 on these socks. One side of the heel looks quite nice.
The other side of the heel, however, looks as if it had been gnawed on by beavers. Wool-eating beavers.
(An aside to my husband – Yes, dear. I do know the photos are out of focus. I also realize that they are over-exposed. And I did notice that the color balance was off. Yes, I am aware that it pains you to look at them. Sorry. You try taking close-ups of your own heel with a point-and-shoot camera in poor lighting, with no off-camera flash. And no Photoshop.)
I’m going to go have a wee glass of wine now. Then I will decide whether to fold laundry or rip my sock.
