One Down
It’s nearly winter again and the creeping crud is making its way around the girls’ school. And as is their custom when Papa is out of town they chose today to catch the bug. S2 was sent home from school with a fever and a cough. Now her sister is trying her best to catch up with her in the Race to Be the Sick Baby. Being the Sick Baby means that all of the oh-so-cruel limitations on how much television (television!) and how many videos (videos!!) fly out the window for the duration of the worst of the illness. Today in S2’s case the brain-numbing TV and video party lasted about an hour and a half. By then her fever was gone, her cough silent and her interest in squeaky-voiced fuzzy red puppets completely exhausted. Thank goodness. I can only take so much of the Red Menace before I become a danger to myself and others.
Now let’s just hope I dodge a bullet and H2 doesn’t actually manage to get sick herself. I figure that I have 50/50 chance that both of them will be well tomorrow. After all, DH comes home in 24 hours. I know that they’ll be healthy as horses by the time he steps off the plane.

My best wishes too !! Is it just coincidence or something out of “twilight zone” that the girls get sick nearly everytime D leaves home ??
