Naps are for Wimps

Over the last couple of weeks the Cupcakes seem to have decided, without any input from me I would hasten to add, that naps are for wimps. They still nap quite reliably at daycare. One of the benefits of peer pressure, I presume. But when they’re at home they would much rather, say…

  • play with their stuffed animals
  • scrape their binkies against the wall
  • sing and dance on their beds
  • yell
  • jump up and down on each other’s heads
  • Fun as this may be for them, two napless toddlers means two writhing, screaming terrors by 5 pm. This does not a happy mommy (or daddy) make. They left me no choice…I had to do it. My apologies to the environment.

    Nighty-night, girls!

Hee! They’re so *cute* all zonked out like that. :) Here’s hoping they don’t continue to be too cool for naps at home!

Oh how I know this. Can’t sleep at nap time, all bad tempered in the evening and as soon as they are in the car zooomed to dreamland :-) Been there done that !!
I can say (as I’ve done so often before) this will get better ! They’ll be over with this in - say - 6 months or so ?? Hope this will help (and not give you a depression .-)
But they are sooo cute with their binkies and outside the car you sure would not watch them sleeping. Enjoy !
      Love

You go girl! (And I was right there with you doing the same thing late on Friday). What’s a little pollution and $12 of gasoline compared to a really loud, BAD evening…? Heh heh.
