The lovely ladies of Lime & Violet are hosting the Lime & Violet Sock Marathon 2007. They have a Flickr group set up and people have been posting pictures of their sock yarn stashes along with the approximate length of said stash. Since I’ve never actually figured out how much sock yarn I’ve hoarded collected I decided to take the opportunity to do an inventory.

Here’s what I found:

As you can plainly see it’s hardly any yarn at all, really. I mean it’s only 11.9 miles long (19.1 km for those of you who use the metric system). That’s not even a half-marathon, much less an entire marathon.

I have no idea why DH froze in the doorway and then started laughing uncontrollably when he came in to take this picture. No idea at all. . .
