Happy Adoption Day!

It’s been an entire year, as of today. One year since I first held my daughters. One year since I became a mom for the first, and second, time. One year since I discovered how deeply one could love two little, tiny people. And one year since I’ve had a decent night’s sleep. And what a ride it’s been.
DH is, appropriately enough, in China right now. Which gave me the opportunity to be first in with the photo documenting this milestone. As I am decidedly not gifted with photographic talent I enlisted the help of our marvelous soon-to-be-neighbor, Denise, to do the honors. I think that she did a wonderful job:

That’s Heike on the left in her ‘I Love Daddy’ t-shirt. Sarah’s on the right, with a death grip on her teething ball. And they’re holding their referral photo; the first picture I ever saw of them.I think that about sums it up, don’t you?

Baby’s Got Some New Shoes

Somehow I found myself at the Hanna Andersson outlet this afternoon, with a credit card, unsupervised. This is what I brought home.
